Ms. Vonnie

Ms Vonnie is our Director. She has two children, a boy and a girl. While most of her career has been in Health Care, she always wanted to work with children. She loves teaching children new things and enjoy watching their eyes light up when they accomplish a goal.
Her hobbies are: horse- back riding, hiking, volleyball and spending time outdoors with her family.

Ms. Sam

Ms. Sam is our director and has been in childcare for 8 years. She has held all roles from aide to director over the years. She loves working in childcare because she enjoys making a difference in children's lives and helping them shape who they are to become and being there for the special milestones and moments, along with building a connection with families. She has been with her husband for 10 years and married for 6 years, they have 3 children 2 boys and a girl. When she is not at work you can find her in the salon doing hair or outside with her family.

Ms. Trish

Ms. Trish is our PreK teacher and has been married to her husband for over 25 years. She has been a preschool teacher at Lighthouse since 1992. She enjoys working with children of all ages, but mainly 4 and 5 year olds. She is a magician and enjoys doing magic shows for children. Her favorite things to do outside of teaching are golfing, bowling and snow-mobiling.

Ms. Julie

Ms. Julie is our teacher of the afternoon Preschool/SA program. She has worked in a Montessori school for 15 years. She truly loves to teach numbers, letters, colors and love to use Montessori approach. She loves watching the growth and development of children in art abilities. She has AA degree in music from St. John’s University and Bachelor’s degree in art for grades K-12 from Bemidji State University.
In her spare time, Ms. Julie loves to read mystery and suspense novels, garden, oil paintings of outdoor scenery and cabin in wood. She also loves giving piano lessons to many of the students. She is always thinking of various activities to do with children that include learning and fun.

Ms. Summer

Ms. Jayda

Ms. Jayda started at LLA in January 2025. She is married with 2 daughters and 3 dogs. She has over 3 years of experience in childcare and loves the toddler age. In her free time she loves being outdoors, spending time with her family and crafting.

Ms. Tammy

Ms. Tammy is our Teddy room teacher. She enjoys reading, doing art projects, and watching the children grow up. She has been with LLA since July 2025 and has over 13 years of experience in childcare.
